  • Rukh is often dressed in shades of brown, red, and beige, favoring sensible clothing over the fine and fashionable. If meeting in the wilds you would likely find her in leather armor, an Ihuykanite axe on her back, and wearing a horned helm that shows she has passed the trials associated with being recognized as a warrior of her people.

  • She bears a heavy pack well for such a small girl, having worn one ever since she learned to walk.

  • A quetzal follows her from tree branch to rooftop, never far from her shoulder.

───ABOUT

  • Born into a clan of agricultural nomads, Rukh travels Tural to sell and trade the goods produced by her people. She can be found in most parts of Tural, Shaaloani and southwards.

  • Rukh’s kin have been hit hard by recent local events, resulting in loss of crops, caches, and even lives. She has recently taken up part-time work at the resort of Dock Poga in Kozama’uka to help make ends meet.

  • Rukh is a proficient fireside cook, an adequate sketch artist (though it's most often used for her bookeeping), and skilled with an axe.

  • Those acquainted with the Lunyuhiyshahe may know that few display the gifts that will one day earn them the rank of Listener, a position mentioned within current lore but not yet fully explained. Among them is Rukh.

  • Unfortunately Kii exists, and he will not leave. In addition to violently defending Rukh from any touch that he does not approve of, the quetzal also steals. The bane of merchants everywhere, he delights in taking food, shiny things, and even pel- anything he believes might be a fitting gift for his girl.

PROMPTS ───

  • On the dusty streets of Hhusatahwi, a Hhetsarro girl leans against a wooden cart. Displayed behind her is a variety of merchandise produced by her kin; rows of leatherworked items, folk medicine, dried fish and meat, baked goods, and nopalitender tuna wine. A quetzal perches upon a nearby crate, sleepily preening its feathers. Perhaps something catches your eye?

  • While visiting Dock Poga you might note a figure clad in Pelupelu garb and visor, but the bushy tail behind them shows that they're not what they seem. Though she's often seen serving, tending guest quarters, and taking what work she can, Rukh is on the roster of tour guides. Those with the desire (and the pel) might wish to hire her to see the local sights, or even brave the river Ihuykatumu.

  • The wilds of Tural are wild indeed, residents and visitors alike might lose their way or find themselves in a situation that they are unable to manage alone. The assistance of a local who's familiar with the lands (and always happy to lift an axe) could come in handy.
